The golden streets of Haarlem
The Golden Streets of Haarlem are the nice shopping streets around the Grote Markt. In the Golden Streets you can find the most special, unique shops. The seven streets all have something unique to offer. For example, the Warmoestraat is known as one of the most beautiful streets in Haarlem, you can go to the Koningstraat for interior design and the Kleine Houtstraat for craft shops.
The Great Church
The Grote or St. Bavokerk is also an indispensable stop during your visit to Haarlem. The church can be seen from far outside the city, and is therefore a large part of the view of Haarlem. The church has a unique wooden vault, a beautiful organ (Het Müllerorgel), a beautiful copper choir screen and over 400 tombstones on the floor. Among others Frans Hals and Willem Bilderdijk are buried in this church.
